The new Lullatone Melody Maker is a nice interactive sine wave loop app. Great minimal sound fun from Japan!

Last Saturday night I went to see Sunset Rubdown at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia. I love how intimate the venue is, and my friend Morgan who is a huge fan of the band, made sure we were front and center. Ever since the show, I’ve been listening a lot to Spencer Krug’s other band, Wolf Parade. It might just be a reflection of where my life is right now, but I can’t seem to get enough of this song from their first album, “Apologies to the Queen Mary.”

I love discovering music I already had. I was passed Deerhunter over the winter but only gave it a serious listen this past week. Now I’m hooked on their album Microcastle.

This I Believe is a national media project engaging people in writing, sharing, and discussing the core values and beliefs that guide their daily lives. The project is based on the popular 1950s radio series of the same name hosted by Edward R. Murrow. NPR would air these three-minute essays on All Things Considered, Tell Me More and Weekend Edition Saturday.
This past weekend, the final story read by novelist Amy Tan aired. Now these short statements of belief, written by people from all walks of life, will be made available through an archive on here.

Sabrina and I had a really fun yet productive day in SoHo yesterday. Today is proving to be equally sunny with promise of being an amazing weekend (weatherwise & otherwise).

If you like The Kills, then you might be into Magic Wands. They are touring together this spring and I’m hoping to check out one of their shows in either NYC or PHL.
