What Type Are You?

I finally got around to trying Pentagram’s ‘What Type Are You’ application. In it, they ask four character questions, analyzes your responses in detail, and recommends one of 16 typefaces as a result.

Measuring Type

Matt Robinson and Tom Wrigglesworth compared a selection of the most commonly used typefaces for how economical they are with the amount of ink which they use at the same point size.

The project called, Measuring Type, uses large scale renditions of the typefaces drawn out with ballpoint pens, allowing the remaining ink levels to display the ink efficiency of each typeface.

Brooklyn based artist Ebon Heath creates complex mobiles made out of beautiful jumbles of letters and words. His typographic sculptures free text from the confines of 2D space and where it can engage with the larger physical environment.
