Fairly Painless Advertising created this piece which tells people about a great place to work, and reminds Herman Miller employees they’ve already found one. A bit of company propaganda so nicely made, you don’t mind drinking th Kool Aid.

Jordan Seiler’s “New York Street Advertising Takeover” hit the streets over the weekend when over 120 illegal billboards throughout the city were white washed by dozens of volunteers. Later in the day over 80 artists transformed the blank canvasses with original artwork.

Ray Ban Colorize

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Photographer Thomas Rusch teamed with Cutwater and Art Director D. Kele to create the Ray Ban Colorize campaign.

This reminds me of these recent Visit NYC bus shelters I saw. Does anyone know the ones I am referring to? I think they were for tourism but I can’t exactly recall. It’s driving me a bit crazy trying to remember, so help me out.

A great viral ad by Samsung. There is no way CGI was not used, but the concept and execution are nice. Someone send me the backstory on the making of this if you come across it.

I recently came across the Seat Ibiza ad on Adverbox, which used an homage to skating as a celebration for their brand’s “25 years of rolling together.”

For a car company trying to speak to young people, does skateboarding still remain relevant as the message of freedom? I see the marketing appeal for sure, but it made me wonder if skateboarding and the subculture has become too mainstream and perhaps cliche. Does it still carry the same resonance of youthful rebellion?

Regardless, I have to say that watching the ad and the corresponding music video, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic for lazy summers as a teenager. It definitely invoked a longing for those days when there was never a worry about time or plans, just hanging out with friends until the sunset.

The commercial features a nice cover of “Forever Young” by Australian band Youth Group, originally made popular by German/Synthpop group Alphaville. I really enjoyed the song and video, so I thought I would share. Click here to see the spot.
